POSITION
Summary:
The primary purpose of an Instructional Assistant position is to promote academic and behavioral independence among special need students in the school environment.
Assistant works under the direction of the Special Education Case Manager and assumes responsibility for those portions of the IEP assigned by the Case Manager.
In a foundations classroom, the IA:
Supports a therapeutic setting with students who have educational and emotional needs from kindergarten through age 21; Assists licensed staff with student instruction by setting up the classroom, and addressing each student's personal, social, academic and emotional needs; Implements Individualized Education Plans, Functional Behavioral Assessments, Plan B conversations, Option Plans, Safety contracts, team plans, and other relevant plans designed to help the students academically and emotionally; Possesses knowledge and skills to perform essential functions and key responsibilities in an exemplary manner; and has the experience and ability to support all students across settings, especially during times of escalation.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Obtained an associate's degree or higher; or meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment, the knowledge of and the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing and mathematics or the instruction in readiness for these subjects.
Fingerprint-based criminal history verification clearance.
Previous experience with special education students is desirable and/or one year of experience working with students in a classroom setting.
Valid Oregon Driver License.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
